The LimbiCODE® test is a scientifically recognized test, which the ZHAW (Zurich University of Applied Sciences) Winterthur has validated (factor analysis / reliability test) in cooperation with our team.
In order to comply with the requirements of market research, the scope of the test was reduced to 21 questions, which serves well its purpose in marketing but will not be sufficient to form a detailled psychological personality profile. The test, however, allows to group the population into six LimbiCODE® personas, which have proven meaningful and succinct in marketing segmentation.
The foundation for the test is the “limbic approach” by Dr. Hans-Georg Häusel as well as the “Big Five” of psychology.
The questions were chosen to allow the calculation of the three limbic instructions “balance, dominance and stimulation“; whereupon the six LimbiCODE® personas are calculated.
The method was described in great detail in the dissertation by the company’s founder, Martin Amann. The practical application was verified based on market research comprising 983 participants. The Master thesis was written under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dr. Gerhard Roth (Academy of Neuroscience) and received a grade of 5.7 (on the Swiss grade scale where 6 is the highest mark) and 1.3 (on the German grade scale, where 1 is the highest mark) respectively.
To date, more than 20,000 people have taken the test on our website. In addition, it has been integrated in a large number of market research surveys in order to evaluate the results according to neuropsychological criteria.
